Ford vehicles to read your text messages while you drive

Ford is starting to install a new feature in its vehicles that reads text messages aloud. This new feature, aimed at reducing instances of texting and driving, is part of Ford's new voice-activated technology, Sync, and has already been installed in all 2012 models, excluding the Ranger. Several phone apps have created popular solutions, but so far, only a select few manufacturers, including Ford and BMW, have actually integrated it into the actual vehicles. One reason for this is because not all phones have compatible technology (i.e. the iPhone!). I think this is an excellent addition to the technological world. The statistics/data surrounding texting while driving is absolutely tragic. If we can't get people to stop worrying about communication while driving, this is obviously the best solution. I am excited to see how this will work in vehicles. I will probably never drive another Ford in my lifetime, but I'm sure Chevrolet isn't too far behind!!
